I know about the automatic check for updates and have disabled it, but I still get a noticable dealy when starting up the IDE at the point where CnWizards loads. Custom distributions of CnWizards must include all of the custom changes as a patch file that can be applied to the original source code. Sign up for a new account in our community.

No support for modified versions of CnWizards will be provided by the original authors or on the CnWizards website, bbs or mailing lists.

Has anybody looked into the CnWizards source code and knows whether and when it "phones home"? Already have an account? If you do modify and distribute custom versions of CnWizards, the binary distribution must be named differently and clearly marked so users can tell they are not using the official CnWizards distribution.

Sign In Sign Up. Going by the source, it appears it is called when the IDE first goes "idle", and it fires off a thread to do the check, so I doubt the delay is from the "phone home" check.
